The Begonia listada is a compact, velvet-leaved begonia known for its deep green foliage marked by a clean, light green stripe running down each leaf. The leaves have a soft, velvety texture, with rich red undersides that adds a subtle contrast. It grows in a low, mounding habit, forming a tidy, elegant cluster of foliage. Like most Begonia, it produces small, delicate flowers that rise just above the leaves, adding a light, airy touch without overwhelming its distinctive foliage.
CARE:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can benefit from some direct morning sun, but harsh afternoon rays can scorch the leaves.
Although it can tolerate lower light, it may stagnant in growth and become leggy over time
Avoid letting water sit on the leaves, as this can lead issue with powdery mildew
Does best in a medium to high humidity setting.
Avoid exposing the plant to drafts as it is very sensitive to cold.
Water when the first 1-2 inches of soil is dry to maintain slightly moist but not soggy soil
