If a list of show-stopping houseplants exists, then the Bird of Paradise plant would most definitely make that list. In the wild, the BOP has evolved to naturally tear along its lateral veins to let strong winds pass. This smaller version is less likely to tear and it is much easier to maintain as an interior plant!
CARE
- This plant requires quite a bit of light to thrive
- It can tolerate several hours of direct sun daily or consistent bright indirect lighting
- Maintain medium-high humidity
- Ensure that it is planted in a well-draining potting soil mix paired with a planter with drainage holes!
- In the summer, keep the soil moist but not soaked
